The Role
Digital Zone is looking for a Senior IT Systems Administrator & Support Engineer to streamline our IT infrastructure, enhance security, and provide top-tier technical support for our fast-growing team. You will be responsible for managing IT systems, troubleshooting hardware/software issues, and optimizing IT processes to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities
- IT Systems & Infrastructure: Manage and maintain hardware, software, cloud hosted solutions, and office IT infrastructure.
- Employee IT Support: Provide hands-on technical assistance for Windows, macOS, Linux, and company-wide applications.
- Identity & Access Management: Administer Google Workspace, Office 365, Active Directory, and SSO solutions (JumpCloud, Okta, Azure AD, etc.).
- Device & Security Management: Implement and manage MDM solutions (Jamf, Intune), enforce cybersecurity policies (MFA, endpoint security, encryption), and monitor security threats.
- Network & Office IT: Support network infrastructure, including VPNs, Wi-Fi management, VLANs, and firewalls (Cisco Meraki, UniFi, or similar).
- Automation & Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for automation and use scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) to streamline IT workflows.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage IT setup for new hires and deprovisioning for departures, ensuring secure and efficient access control.
- Helpdesk & Documentation: Maintain IT support tickets, document solutions, and develop guides to improve IT efficiency.
- Vendor & Asset Management: Oversee IT procurement, vendor relationships, and asset tracking to optimize IT resources.
Qualifications
- 5-10 years of experience in IT administration, technical support, or system administration.
- Expertise in Google Workspace, Office 365, identity & access management (Okta, JumpCloud, Azure AD), and MDM solutions (Jamf, Intune).
- Strong troubleshooting skills across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, including MFA, encryption, and endpoint security.
- Experience managing IT helpdesk/ticketing systems (Jira, Zendesk, ServiceNow, etc.).
- Knowledge of IT asset management and procurement processes.
- Excellent communication, documentation and problem-solving skills.
Bonus points:
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Google IT Support Professional, Cisco CCNA, or ITIL are a plus.
- Experience with automation tools (PowerShell, Bash, Python) is an advantage.

Our headquarters is in Baghdad, Iraq, our office is in Dubai, UAE, and this position is Hybrid (remote & on-site).
