About the Role
Digital Zone is a fast-growing digital payments and voucher platform, active in Iraq and expanding into Saudi Arabia and the UAE. We operate across gaming, telco, streaming, e-commerce, and live events and we’re building the marketing team to match our ambitions.
We’re looking for a Creative Lead who is first and foremost a video person , someone who can concept, brief, and oversee video production end-to-end, from short-form social content to full TVC campaigns. You’ll lead two in-house designers and manage relationships with external agencies, while actively embedding AI tools into the creative process to raise both the speed and quality of output.
What You’ll Do
CRM & Lifecycle Messaging
- Write all CRM content: push notifications, in-app messages, SMS, and WhatsApp communications
- Develop message copy for the full customer lifecycle , onboarding, activation, retention, reactivation, and win-back
- Work closely with the Lifecycle PM to align copy with lifecycle flows and audience segmentation
- Write A/B test variants for messages and help interpret performance results to improve copy over time
- Maintain a consistent tone across automated and manual CRM touchpoints
Product & UI Copy
- Write and review all user-facing product copy: button labels, error messages, empty states, onboarding flows, tooltips
- Ensure product language is clear, on-brand, and consistent across both languages
- Collaborate with the product team to review copy during feature development and pre-launch
Campaign & Social Content
- Write copy for marketing campaigns across social media, paid ads, and landing pages
- Develop Arabic and English content for seasonal campaigns (Ramadan, gaming events, summer)
- Support the Creative Lead with scripts and copy directions for video and visual content
Content Operations
- Maintain a content library and copy bank that the team can reference and reuse
- Build and manage a simple style guide covering tone, terminology, and brand voice in both languages
- Proofread and QA all written output before it goes live own the written quality bar
What We’re Looking For
Must-Haves
- 4+ years of professional content writing experience
- Native or near-native fluency in Arabic , writes for audiences in Iraq and KSA, not for translation tools
- Strong English writing skills , comfortable across registers (conversational, formal, marketing)
- Experience writing CRM or lifecycle messages (push, email, in-app, SMS)
- Ability to write product and UI copy , not just marketing copy
- Understanding of how copy performs differently across channels and formats
- Detail-oriented , typos, inconsistencies, and tone-deaf phrasing are caught before they ship
Nice to Have
- Experience in a digital product, e-commerce, fintech, or gaming context
- Familiarity with CRM tools (Braze, Clevertap, or similar)
- Basic understanding of how CRM segmentation and personalisation works
- Experience adapting content for Gulf markets (KSA, UAE), cultural nuance matters here
- Exposure to SEO copywriting principles
